So what does one do when presented with a scenario in which the menu has a set number of spaces yet needs a mechanism for allowing additional? The answer lies within using an overflow menu convention. In this particular concept, I tried to stick within iconic norms for alerting the user to additional menu items by adding the familiar ellipses icons to the main menu. From there it is a matter of exploring various ways to open this menu and show the additional subtasks via icons.
